Rashid Khan Does It Again! Scoops Another ICC Top Spot

Afghanistan leg-spinning sensation Rashid Khan has done it again! He has just taken first place in the T20I Bowling Rankings!

Rashid moved up to take top position among bowlers in the latest MRF Tyres ICC T20I Player Rankings with some fine performances in a 2-0 series win over Zimbabwe.

Rashid, who last week became the youngest male cricketer to be top-ranked in the ICC rankings when he rose up to joint-first in ODIs, has moved up after taking five wickets in the two-match series in Sharjah to complete the double.

The 19-year-old’s movement was not the only one at the top as New Zealand opener Colin Munro and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell became the top-ranked batsman and all-rounder, respectively.

After a year in which Rashid Khan left plenty of records in his wake – and for which he was given the ICC Associate Cricketer of the Year award – the leg-spinner from Afghanistan has added another feather to what is already a pretty stuffed cap.

Rashid became the youngest player – and only teenager – to top any of the MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings tables for men when he became the No.1-ranked ODI bowler at just 7,092 days of age last week.
