The U-15 national football team ended on 0-0 against Uzbekistan in their Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) tournament match in Tashkent on Monday night.

With this draw, Afghanistan, last year’s champions, finished in fourth place overall in the tournament. Iran scooped the trophy.

Afghanistan beat Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan and lost to Iran and Takijikistna in the tournament. After Monday night’s match, Afghanistan ended with seven points overall.

Uzbekistan finished in 2nd place and Tajikistan in 3rd place in the tournament.

This was the second year that Uzbekistan hosted the tournament – which started last week and finished on Monday. Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, and Turkmenistan all took part.

Afghanistan’s team return home on Tuesday.
