Top US commander in Afghanistan said Taliban has suffered twice as many casualties compared to Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) and that this was why the group has ramped up suicide attacks on cities.

US forces commander and NATO’s Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan's chief, General John Nicholson, said in an interview with TOLOnews that Taliban’s suicide bombings and attacks have not fulfilled any of their strategic goals.
