Abdullah-Ghani Meet for Second Time at ARG

The office of the CEO announced Thursday night that the two National Unity Government leaders held a meeting at the Presidential Palace (ARG) earlier in the day.

According to a statement issued by CEO Abdullah Abdullah's office, it was noted that the meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere and the two leaders exchanged views on a number of national issues including the overall political situation in the country.

"At the meeting, the president (Ashraf Ghani) stressed the need for the sustainability of the pillars of the national unity government and unanimity of views regarding challenges, opportunities ahead for the national unity government and to find resolutions to the issues," the press release read.

"At the meeting, the leaders of the national unity government decided to convene more meetings in the coming weeks aimed to conduct further discussions on tackling affairs with consensus in line with the political agreement," the press release concluded.
