US and Russian officials have strike a deal which will pave the way for a summit between US president Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladmir Putin. 

The development took place during a trip by Trump's national security adviser John Bolton to Moscow where he met top Russian officials about holding a summit of leaders from the nations.
