Officials in Logar province said that 30 schools have been closed by the Taliban in Charkh district of Logar province. 

Meanwhile, a provincial council member in Logar said that following night raids against Taliban and heavy casualties to the Taliban the group has closed the doors of 30 schools in the district. 

According to the local officials almost 12,000 students in the district are now not going to school.
