In response to Taliban’s Spring Offensive, Afghan security forces will increase their operations to address security threats, Afghan defense and interior ministries said Sunday. 
 
According to defense and interior ministries, the Afghan Air Force (AAF), Commandos and Police Special Forces will double their operations against Taliban militants to prevent them from achieving their goals.  
Taliban started their Spring Offensive 26 days ago. 
 
Interior ministry spokesman Najib Danish said since the start of this fighting season, the Taliban have been trying to take control of strategic areas in 14 provinces in the  north, north-east and south of the country. 
 
In order to address these security threats, security and defense departments have prepared a plan based on which they have ordered security forces to increase their offensives against theTaliban.
