MEHWAR: NUG’s Tenure Discussed

A number of political parties and lawyers said that according to Afghanistan’s constitution the National Unity Government (NUG)’s tenure will end in May 2018 and they have only 100 days left.

They said government must pave the way for the transfer of power through fair presidential elections, but government has stated these elections will take place in 2019.
