Several Afghan politicians, including Hizb-e-Islami leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, former Balkh governor Atta Mohammad Noor, second deputy chief executive Mohammad Mohaqeq, and presidential candidate Abdul Latif Pedram on Friday left Kabul to Pakistan to attend a meeting in which some members of the Taliban are also said to attend.
US President Donald Trump has said that members of his administration are not trying to push him into the US conflicts in Afghanistan and the Middle East but he added that “some good things are happening in Afghanistan”, referring to a reduction in the American forces numbers and the defeat of Daesh, among other matters.
