BAZAR: Pakistani Rupees Lose Value Against US Dollar
The Pakistani rupee has fallen by about 20 percent in the last eight months, after the State Bank of Pakistan devalued the currency four times by approximately five per cent.
Analysts have attributed the weak rupee to balance of payment crisis, falling foreign exchange reserves, political situation and a strong demand for the dollar by pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage.
In this episode of the program, host Zarmina Mohammadi discusses the topic with Mohammad Hashem Rawzaye, a spokesman for the money exchangers union.
