Afghanistan Beats Ireland By 81 Runs In Second T20I
Afghanistan’s National Cricket Team beat Ireland by 81 runs in the second of three T20 International’s on Wednesday at the Bready Cricket Club in Bready, Northern Ireland.
Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Shahzad Mohammadi and Hazratullah Zazai started batting first but Shahzad was out after only one run.
Hazratullah Zazai however made his second consecutive half-century in the ongoing series and made 82 runs with 7 sixes and 6 fours.
Afghan captain Asghar Afghan also made 37 runs off 34 balls and completes 1000 runs in T20Is. He achieved the feat in his 56th T20I match.
Najibullah Zadran made 20 runs off 10 balls not out.
Mohammad Nabi 12 runs, Shafiqullah Shafaq 2 runs and Rashid Khan got zero runs in the second match against Ireland.
On the other hand Ireland lost all its wickets in 79 runs and lost the game by 81 runs to Afghanistan.
Rashid Khan got four wickets, Mujeeb Zadran got three wickets, Farid Malik, Aftab Alam and Mohammad Nabi each got one wicket in the match.
The third T20 International against Ireland will be held on Friday.
