People in the United States on Tuesday marked the 17th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center (WTC) in New York and on the Pentagon that according to the US officials killed over 3,000 people.

One month later, the US and its allies launched a massive attack on the ruling Taliban and member of al-Qaeda terror network who Washington blamed to had been plotted the attack on the US soil.
