AFF Nominated For Asia Football Confederation Award

The Afghanistan Football Federation has been nominated for an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) annual award.

The ceremony will be held at the end of this month – a ceremony attended by athletes from 47 countries every year.

“The nomination for the AFC Member Association of the Year Award 2017 was because of all the efforts made by Afghanistan Football Federation and footballers,” said Sayed Ali Aghazada, secretary general of the country’s football federation.

“This will project a good impression to the world. Afghanistan which has an image of a war-torn country in the world, will be displayed in its real picture by football,” said Yusuf Kargar, technical deputy head of the federation.

The Asian Football Confederation on Saturday announced the full list of nominees for this year's AFC Annual Awards gala to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 29.
