As the only team representing Afghanistan in the Subroto Cup tournament in India, the under-14 team from Kabul won the championships after beating their  rivals Chandigarh on Wednesday.

Their match against Chandigarh Football Club ended 5-4 in Afghanistan’s favor. 

The U14s beat India’s Mirzaram team 5-4 in the semi-finals of the Subroto Cup tournament on Monday.

Monday’s match saw both teams playing hard to secure their goals but no goals were scored until a penalty shootout. 

Last year, Afghanistan played well and made it as far as the semi-finals of the tournament.
