Nabi And Rashid Return Home After IPL Journey

The all-rounder Mohammad Nabi and the leg-spinner Rashid Khan on Thursday returned home after their successful journey in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Rashid was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping $600,000 USD in the IPL auction. The team also bought his senior teammate Mohammad Nabi, for $46,000 USD.

“These trips are useful for Afghanistan’s cricket because our country’s name was taken when one of us were entering the ground,” Nabi told TOLOnews.

“At first I was under pressure when I entered the ground for the first time because one of world’s best players Chris Gayle was against me but later when I got the first wicket I found my confidence and continued the match,” Rashid told TOLOnews.

The two were also brilliant in the Bangladesh Premier League with Nabi claiming 19 wickets in 13 games and Rashid 13 in eight games.

Nabi and Rashid will rest for a few days and will join their teammates in India, who are preparing for their match against West Indies.

Afghanistan will play three T20s and three One Day matches against West Indies in the near future.
