Palestine Football Team Arrives In Kabul For Friendly Match

The Palestine National Football Team on Friday arrived in Kabul for a friendly match against the National Football Team of Afghanistan next week on Sunday. 

The team was warmly welcomed by Afghan officials and athletes at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.

The Palestine squad will join a training camp at Maidan-e-Sabz (Green Field) ground in Kabul to prepare for Sunday match. 

“I am excited to see the Palestine football team in Afghanistan. I hope we have a memorable game,” said Ali Reza Aghazada, Secretary General of Afghanistan Football Federation.

The Palestine team members said they are happy about their trip to Afghanistan and that they are well prepared for the friendly match.

“I am excited that we have visited Afghanistan. I thank the people of Afghanistan and the Football Federation for the opportunity. I wish good luck for both teams,” said Bahrami, Palestine team’s manager. 

Kabul has so far hosted Pakistan’s national football team in a friendly match in 2013 which ended 3-0 in favor of Afghanistan. 

Afghanistan will play a friendly match with Myanmar in October following their match against Palestine.

Afghanistan Football Federation’s officials said the national team is well prepared to face Palestine in a friendly match on Sunday.
