Defending champions Shaheen Asmayee F.C beat Mawjhai Amu 2-0 on Sunday evening in the first match of the 7^th annual Afghan Premier League football tournament in Kabul.  

The first half of the match ended without any goals being scored despite Shaheen having had a number of chances at netting the ball.

The second half continued at the same pace, with Shaheen being mostly on the offensive.

Finally in the 52^nd minute of the game, Shaheen’s Hussain Alizada scored for his team.

Twenty five minutes later, in the 77^th minute, another Shaheen’s player, Faridon Hakimi, netted the ball for his team – raising to score to 2-0.

Monday night’s game will see Oqaban Hindukush and De Maiwand Atalan face each other in the second game of the tournament – which is expected to be held over a month.
