Toofan Harirod beat Simorgh Alborz 1-0 in their APL 2018 Rahmani Foundation match on Wednesday night in Kabul. 

While Alborz failed to score, they did show a strong level of dominance in the game – especially with the high number of interceptions of passes between their opposing players. 

Both teams had numerous chances at the net during the first half of the match – a fast-paced game that saw many strikes at goal, but none hit the net. 

The first half ended 0–0. 

The pace however immediately picked up at the beginning of the second half with Rahmatullah Khaikhwah from Toofan Haridod finally breaking the deadlock by netting his ball. 

The tense match kept spectators enthralled after so many attempts at goal failed. 

The final tally showed Toofan had 55 percent possession of the ball while Khairkhwah was man of the match.
