Monday was day 6,000 of the ongoing war in Afghanistan – 6,000 days since the United States’ military arrived.
But 16 years later, there is still no peace in sight.
The Afghan defense ministry on Sunday said the reason for the prolonged war is because of the ongoing insurgency in the country.
