As the legal tenure of the National Unity Government (NUG) is inching closer to its end, a number of presidential elections reiterated that an alternative plan prepared by them should replace the incumbent government.

Ahmad Wali Massoud, a presidential candidate, that more than 10 presidential candidates see the continuation ofthe  NUG under President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah illegal after May 22.
