The US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad has held backdoor talks with Afghan leaders including President Ashraf Ghani in which he pressed them to expedite efforts to kick start the much-awaited the intra-Afghan negotiations, sources familiar with the talks said.
