30 Domestic, Intl Trade Exhibitions Planned for 1403

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC) has announced plans to organize more than 30 exhibitions both inside and outside the country in the new solar year.

Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, the Commerce and Industry spokesman, said that these exhibitions are aimed at fostering the growth and development of the country's trade with regional and global countries.

The exhibitions outside the country are set to be held in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkey, Russia, India, China, and Turkmenistan.

"For better organization and coordination and to prevent multiple and non-standard exhibitions and unhealthy competition, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has arranged a calendar of domestic and international exhibitions for the year 1403, where the exhibitions are planned to be exclusive and competitive," Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad said.

Additionally, the Afghanistan Chamber of Industry and Mines  has stated that facilities for obtaining visas must be provided for Afghan traders to participate in international exhibitions.

"According to our research, there are good markets for Afghan products. Of course, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must also cooperate in this section for obtaining visas, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has cooperated with industrialists in several exhibitions in this regard," said Sakhi Ahmad Payman, deputy of the chamber.

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment also said that holding national and international exhibitions plays an important role in introducing the country's products and increasing exports.

"We are ready to participate anywhere in the world where an exhibition is held and facilities are provided for us, for the growth of Afghan productions," said Mohammad Yonis Momand, the chamber's acting head.

This comes as Afghan traders participated in exhibitions in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the solar year 1402 and also signed contracts during these exhibitions.
