Deputy PM Abdul Kabir Returns to Work After 3 Months

The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, has returned to work after a three-month absence due to health issues, according to the Arg.

Earlier, TOLOnews reported on the absence of Mawlawi Abdul Kabir in official meetings.

However, on Wednesday, the Arg said on X that the deputy political prime minister has returned to his office and is in good health.

“My health worsened and the doctor recommended that I rest. I was resting at home for one month and I was under treatment. Some made propaganda that I had traveled to a neighboring country for treatment but that was untrue and I was at home,” Abdul Kabir said.

The political analysts said that the senior officials of the Islamic Emirate need to be present at meetings.

“At the current situation, his (Kabir’s presence) is important because he is a member of the leadership and also a political deputy. He might be able to find solutions for many problems with meeting people and the international community,” said Amanullah Hotaki, a political analyst.

“I hope the cabinet of the Prime Minister makes good progress in governance regarding the political and economic situation of the country,” said Janat Fahim Chakari, political analyst.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir met with the former Japanese ambassador Takashi Okada on September 4.
