Soviet Withdrawal Major Day of Victory in Afghan History: Hanafi

The Islamic Emirate's deputy prime minister for administrative affairs said that the 26th of Dalwa (February 15) is a major day of victory for the people of Afghanistan.

Speaking at the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of the former Soviet Union's Red Army from Afghanistan, Abdul Salam Hanafi said that the Afghan people have proven that they will not allow any country to occupy Afghanistan.

“The people of Afghanistan have always given a crushing answer to anyone who came to Afghanistan with the intention of occupation. In addition to the recent evemts, the British attacked Afghanistan three times before. They came to Afghanistan and left Afghanistan in a defeated state,” said Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Islamic Emirate's deputy prime minister for administrative affairs.

“Our Afghans have always fought for the truth and have faced disbelief, injustice and oppression and have always won,” said Noor Mohammad Saqib, the acting minister for Hajj and Islamic Affairs.

The deputy prime minister reiterated that the Islamic Emirate wants friendly relations with all countries in the region and the world.

“We want good relations with all our neighbors, with all countries in the region and beyond. The territory of Afghanistan is not used against the security of any of the neighboring countries, the region and the extra region,” said Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Islamic Emirate's deputy prime minister for administrative affairs.

Hanafi said to ensure the survival of the Islamic Emirate, the government officials should behave properly with the people.

The acting minister of Hajj and Islamic Affairs said that those who consider occupying Afghanistan would face the destiny of the Soviet Union and the US.
