Hekmatyar's 'Honor and Dignity' Intact: Mujahid

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, said that the residence of the leader of the Hezb-e-Islami, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar was a subject of dispute, and therefore, his place of residence has been changed.

Mujahid called Gulbuddin Hekmatyar a jihadi personality and said that no disrespect was shown to him, and his place of residence is also secure.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate told TOLOnews: "They must be in a safe place, and the transfer has taken place. The dignity and honor of Hekmatyar are intact, and there is no problem in this regard."
Meanwhile, Habib Rahman Hekmatyar, the son of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, has strongly reacted to the matter, adding that his father's property was not a subject of dispute.

"Hekmatyar deserves respect; not only should his place be secure, but his legitimate views should also be respected," said Najibullah Jami, a political analyst.

"Political parties should operate according to their own desires, not with government funding. Hekmatyar was working with government funding and was in a government house that was then taken back," said Salim Paigir, an analyst.

After Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's return to the country, and based on the agreement made between the previous government and Hekmatyar, the republic system granted him a document equivalent to a proof of ownership of the residence.
