Eight Soldiers Killed In Faryab Clash

At least eight security forces were killed in a clash with Taliban in Faryab province, a source said Monday.
 
According to the source the clash happened on Sunday night when a group of Taliban attacked security check posts in Ghormach district. 

The source said the clash lasted for several hours before the Taliban over ran a check post in the district. 
 
During the clash seven Taliban including Mullah Abdullah, a Taliban commander, were killed and seven soldiers and three Taliban fighters were also wounded.
 
Abdul Karim Yourish Faryab police spokesman confirmed the clash but would not give details on casualties.
 
Taliban have also not commented.
