Group Of Taliban Fighters Killed In Suicide Vests Blast

At least 30 Taliban militants were killed when their own suicide vests exploded at their gathering in Farah province, local officials said on Friday.

Farah governor’s spokesman Naser Mehri said a group of Taliban fighters and their suicide bombers had gathered in Bala Bolok district in the northeastern parts of the province to plot an attack against the government forces when two suicide vests and other explosives blew up during their meeting.

He said 30 fighters of the group were killed in the explosion. 

The Taliban’s gathering was held in Paiwa Pasa village in Bala Bolok district on Thursday, he said.

According to him, a number of local Taliban commanders were among those killed in the explosion. 

Taliban has not commented on the report.
