Art Exhibition In Kabul Pays Tribute To Artists
Some artists have displayed their artworks at a street exhibition, on the road in front of the National Museum, to send a message on the importance of arts and artists.
Most of the artworks included copies of paintings from famous artists of the world.
“Three of the paintings are imaginary and others are copies,” said Diana Rahimi, an artist.
“Three artworks of mine are here at the exhibition,” said Noor Ahmad, another artist and Kabul resident.
The artists said the aim of the exhibition is to bring about awareness of art to people.
“More ground is provided for such artistic activities compared with the past. Street exhibitions are good because the artists can better introduce their work to the viewers,” said Ahmad.
The organizer of the exhibition, Sayed Jawad Ahmad, said they threw 300 balloons into the air, to pass on their message of respect for artists to reach a wide number of people.
Spectators of the exhibition said the messages of the artworks were of peace and solidarity among the new generation of artists in the country.
