22 Insurgents Killed In ANSF Operations

At least 22 armed insurgents were killed in the past 24 hours during Afghan security forces ground and air operations in different parts of the country, the Ministry of Defense said on Saturday. 

According to the ministry eight insurgents including their local commander Noor Gul were killed in an air strike in Posht Rod district of Farah province and their weapons were destroyed.

Meanwhile, in a separate ANA airstrike in Nangarhar’s Ghani Khail district five insurgents were killed, the MoD said. 
 
The ministry claims that in another airstrike in Baraki Barak district of Logar province five insurgents including their local commander Mavlawi Sardar known as Mesbah, Taiban’s shadow district governor, were killed and a vehicle was destroyed during the strike. 
 
In addition, the ministry said that four insurgents were also killed during an Afghan forces’ operation in Khoja Ghar district of Takhar province, five others were wounded and four were detained. 
 
Taliban did not confirm the death of their commander.
