Officials from Afghanistan’s main power supply company Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) on Sunday reported that all nations involved in CASA-1000 have agreed to the establishment of a monitoring company to oversee the progress on the mega regional project. 
 
Meanwhile economic commentators have asked the Afghan government to outline working programs for building dams in the country so as to lessen the country’s dependence on imported electricity.
