An appeals court in Kabul on Sunday sentenced two men for 30 years in prison on charges of kidnapping and murder of a six-year-old girl, Mahsa, in Kabul.
The primary court had already sentenced the two men to 30 years in prison in May.
The suspects were arrested by police in Khairkhana area in Kabul’s PD15 in March.
The two kidnappers escaped execution because they are under 20.
But victim’s parents said they are not satisfied with the court’s verdict and that they demand a tough penalty for the two young men.
“I have received two warning letters. They [kidnappers] are in prison. Perhaps, it is an act by those who are associated with them. I don’t accept any verdict, except the verdict of God. Therefore, I refer all of them to God,” the victim’s father Murtaza Ahmadi said
