Afghanistan U19 national cricket team has been ruled out of the ongoing U19 World Cup in South Africa after losing the third consecutive match of the tournament on Friday (January 26).

Afghanistan played its third match against Nepal as the latter overcame the Afghans by one wicket leading to the group-stage dismissal of the team while Nepal made it to the Super Six of the tournament.

Afghanistan's Under 19 team had lost their previous two matches to Pakistan (by 181 runs) and New Zealand (by one wicket).

Afghanistan U19 cricketers were playing in group D of the World Cup against Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal winning none of their contests.
