Afghanistan’s top cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Asif Mohseni who passed away due to an illness on Monday was laid to rest in Kabul.

A huge crowd of people among them his students and people from all layers of society from all over the country took part in his funeral. 

At least five people were killed and seven others were wounded in a magnetic IED explosion in the north of Kabul on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ministry of Interior said the explosion was placed on a bicycle and targeted a vehicle of the Interior Ministry Counter-Narcotics Department which was passing through the road.
