MMA Fighter Badakhshi Knocks Out Rival In First Round
Abdul Azim Badakhshi, Afghan Mixed Martial Arts - MMA fighter, knocked out his Indian-German rival in a Super Fight League (SFL) match on Saturday night in Mumbai, India.
Badakhshi silenced Sascha Sharma with an exquisitely timed knee just as his opponent ducked in for a takedown.
He managed to knock out his rival in the third round of the match and seconds after the round kicked off.
Badakhshi had also defeated his other rival from India during a similar fight last week.
It was the sixth consecutive knockout win for Badakhshi, who stepped away as soon as he saw that Sharma was down for the count.
In the past year, the Afghan MMA fighters have made major achievements in international competitions.
About two weeks ago, MMA fighters Baz Mohammad Mubariz and Ahmad Wali Hotak beat their Ukrainian and Scottish rivals in the Absolute Championship Berkut – ACB in Dubai -respectively.
