At least four civilians were wounded and one person was killed on Saturday afternoon in Balkh province, local officials said.

According to the officials, the blast took place when a roadside mine detonated near Maimana market area in Mazar-e-Sharif city of Balkh.

Police have started investigations into the incident.

No group including the Taliban has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
