Afghanistan War Veteran Kills Himself And His Family In Canada

An Afghanistan War Veteran who suffered Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder shot his mother, wife and daughter and then turned the gun on himself.
 
Lionel Desmond 33, shot and killed his wife Shanna, his 10-year-old daughter Aaliyah and his mother Brenda and then shot and killed himself in Nova Scotia, Canada last week.
 
The victims bodies were found on Tuesday and the funeral will be paid for by the Canada government this week.
 
The Canadian Forces said Desmond joined the military in 2004 and deployed to Afghanistan from January, 2007, to August of that year. The Afghanistan mission was his only overseas tour.
