President Ashraf Ghani discussed Afghanistan and regional security, counter terrorism and parliamentary elections with HR McMaster, the Unites States National Security Advisor, the Presidential Palace said in a statement on Saturday. 

The two sides also talked about a four-year security plan for Afghanistan, the statement said. 

The statement has not given more details about the phone conversation.

McMaster took office ast U.S. President Donald Trump's National Security Advisor last month.
