Suicide Bombers Storm Paktia Police Headquarters

At least five suicide bombers attacked the police headquarters of eastern Paktia province early Sunday morning and clashes are still ongoing, a spokesman for Interior Ministry, Najibullah Danish said.

The attack took place at about 6:30am after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives close to the  parking area of the headquarters. Four other then tried to enter the compound. But three were killed, Danish said.

“One of the attackers is still alive and clashing with the security forces. Two policemen were killed so far in the attack,” he said.

However, he did not provide further.
