U.S President Donald Trump outlined a revised vision for the U.S war in Afghanistan last week, pledging to end a strategy of “nation-building” and instead institute a policy aimed more squarely at addressing the terrorist threat that emanates from the region.

But Trump’s new war strategy for Afghanistan followed strong retaliation from a number of countries in the region including Pakistan which is accused of harboring militants such as the Afghan Taliban. Apparently the new strategy has now brought the two allies to the verge of some political confrontation.
