Group Wedding With 50 Couples Held in Kabul

A group wedding of fifty young couples was organized by a charity organization in Kabul.

In the ceremony, the Deputy of the Vice and Virtue ministry emphasized the removal of unpleasant customs and traditions in the society.

“I want your attention for Islamic culture, and we must follow Islamic rules in our lives,” said Sayed Ahmad Shahid Khil.

The couples whose weddings were organized by the charitable organization said that they could not afford to pay for their weddings due to bad customs and economic challenges, and now they are happy to hold such a ceremony.

“There are families whose economic situation is very weak, and they are forced to take the same ceremonies in the hotel, they should advertise and promote these kinds of weddings,” said Sayed Nematullah, a groom.

“My advice for the father of the bride is to accept this kind of wedding and participate in it, they should not shame these kinds of weddings,” said Samiullah, a groom.
The organizers of the ceremony asked boys and girls not to force their families to spend excessively on the wedding.

“Every year hundreds of our youth go abroad for wedding expenses and our wrong wedding culture,” said Sayed Ahmad Selab, an organizer.

Traditions and competition of families in holding expensive and magnificent weddings have caused some young people to leave the country to pay for the wedding expenses.
