Discrimination against residents of the country is unacceptable and the government is to take action over the issue, president Ashraf Ghani said on Sunday.
Speaking at a ceremony at the Presidential Place on Milad-un-Nabi - the Birthday of Muslims' Prophet Mohammad. Ghani said: “Our society doesn't need discrimination, it doesn't allow it,” Ghani said.
He also pointed to the insurgents and said that “Islam is not being threatened, it is your rebellion which is hurting Muslims.”
“Killing of innocent civilians does not have any place in Islam and those who are killing the people under name of Islam are murders,” he said.
