Afghan Football Team Ready For Friendly Against Oman

Afghanistan’s National Football Team will play Oman in a friendly match on Wednesday in Muscat.

The aim of this friendly match is to prepare and select key members of Afghanistan's national football team ahead of their Asian Cup qualifying match against Jordan next Tuesday, team officials said.

Afghanistan’s national team has been hard at practice in Oman for the past three days.

The match, on Wednesday, will be held at the Sultan Qaboos Muscat stadium, which has the capacity to hold 34,000 football fans.

“It is two days that we have been practicing. We have a competition on Wednesday, but our main goal is to be prepared to face Jordan,” Anoosh Dastagir, the national team’s deputy coach said.

From Oman, Afghanistan will head to Jordan for their Asia Cup qualifying match which is scheduled to take place next Tuesday.
