Afghanistan A To Face India A In South Africa Tri-Series Today

Afghanistan Cricket Board said the Afghan team is well prepared to play against India in the series.

The Afghanistan A National Team is all set to play a One-Day Internationals (ODI) match against India A in the South Africa A Tri-Series on Friday at 12pm Kabul time.

The match will be held in the LCD Villiers Oval Cricket Ground in South Africa.

The Afghan squad has launched many exercise sessions in South Africa and is well prepared to face their rivals in the series, Afghanistan Cricket Board officials said.

The second match of Afghanistan in the series will be held against India on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Team Afghanistan A will play against South Africa A next week.

This comes after Afghanistan was confirmed as Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) after a unanimous vote at the ICC Full Council meeting held at the Oval last month.

Alongside Afghanistan, Cricket Ireland was also confirmed as a new ICC Full Member.

Afghans across the nation hailed the move a milestone as the country grapples with extensive security problems in the face of a Taliban insurgency.
