Afghanistan’s U-15 Football team beat Kyrgyzstan 2-1 on Tuesday night in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) tournament in Uzbekistan.
Afghanistan, the defending champions lost its opening match to Tajikistan 3-0 on Monday but were on form on Tuesday night.
The team will face Iran on Thursday night in their third match of the tournament.
This is the second year that Uzbekistan is hosting the tournament. The tournament started on Sunday and Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, and Turkmenistan are all taking part.
The event, being held in Tashkent, will end on July 30.
Afghanistan will next play Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – in that order.
