Lawmakers in the Wolesi Jirga (Lower House of Parliament) on Saturday summoned the minister of finance Eklil Ahmad Hakimi and members of the National Procurement Authority (NPA) to answer questions into the progress on the spending of the development budget.

According to Hakimi, government has managed to spend 15 percent of its entire budget during the first six months of the year.
