Trump Vows To Eliminate Insurgency Around The World

Following his inauguration on Saturday Night, the new U.S president said in addition to supporting old coalitions, he will create new anti-extremism coalitions and will eliminate insurgency in the world.

Trump added that launching joint-military operations against Daesh and other terrorist groups will be his priority.

“We will reinforce all the alliances and form new ones and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth,” Trump said.

In a video conference with American soldiers in Afghanistan, Trump said he appreciated their efforts in the war-torn country and promised to provide them with more support.

“I am with you all the way. You have somebody that is going to be right alongside of you, we are going to do it together. Honestly not only the support you have given me, the courage you show  is incredible and it is going to be appreciated,” he said.

In Kabul, Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer, said the U.S will continue its support to Afghanistan as Trump has said he will support U.S troops in the country.

“I am sure that the United States will continue its support to Afghanistan, because Trump already has said he will empower the U.S. forces in Afghanistan,” Abdullah said.

Taliban activities saw a massive upsurge in the country in the past few months and the Afghan government has accused Pakistan of harboring terrorists.

“The first point is that the U.S. assistance to Afghanistan should be spent on the areas that can positively impact the U.S. national security and the second point is fighting terrorism. Trump’s policy is involved in both the cases,” said Faramarz Tamana, head of strategic studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He will fight against terrorism seriously and it means that Pakistan also will be included in the combat against extremism,” political analyst Hamid Saboori said.

Kabul residents however have differing opinions on the new Trump administration.

“Taliban and Daesh are increasing every day and more provinces are becoming insecure. War is ongoing and people are leaving the country,” said Mohammad Haroon, a resident of Kabul.
