11 Taliban Killed in Farah Operation

At least 11 Taliban insurgents, including two commanders, were killed in a National Directorate of Security (NDS) special forces operation in western Farah province, NDS said in a statement on Wednesday.

The operation was launched in Bala Blook district of the province, the statement read.

According to the NDS the two commanders killed were Mawlawi Abdul Razaq and Mawlawi Mohibullah. 

The special forces also seized seven RPGs, Kalashnikovs, a Ranger vehicle, three Toyota Corollas and two motorbikes.

However, the statement did not provide further details about the operation.

The Taliban has not yet commented.
