A number of girls deprived of education in Badakhshan said that after the closure of schools and universities, they have turned to online business.

These girls, numbering more than fifty, import hygiene and cosmetic products from abroad and sell them after marketing on social media pages.

Sidna Zarani and Mushtari Zarani, two sisters deprived of education in Badakhshan, have turned to online business after the closure of the doors of universities and schools. These two sisters import cosmetic products from Iran and sell them in their province.

"Our company, which is in Iran, sends cosmetic products from Iran to Kabul, and another part of our company, which is in Kabul, sends the products to us in Badakhshan, where we receive them and sell them," Sidna Zarani told TOLOnews.

"We decided that since there is neither study nor work, we should at least start this business to have financial independence and I also recommend other girls to start this because the income is very good," said Mushtari Zarani.

Meanwhile, the entrepreneurial girls are asking the caretaker government to provide them with opportunities for education and work.

"My request from the Islamic Emirate is to open the doors of education to girls and also provide them with job opportunities so that girls can progress," said Samira, a businesswoman.

The Department of Industry and Commerce in Badakhshan assured the commercial activities of women in this province.

"We do not have exact information about this online business, but if it is not against Sharia, we have no problem," said Samaruddin Rahmani, Director of Enterprise Affairs of the Department of Industry and Commerce in Badakhshan.

According to the statistics of the Department of Industry and Commerce in Badakhshan, currently, more than 1,000 women in 15 districts of this province are engaged in commercial activities.
