Hunting Prohibited in Farah Province: Officials

Officials of the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs in Farah said that they asked the residents of the province through religious clerics to not hunt animals and birds.

“We asked religious clerics to deliver a message to the people to not hunt animals and birds,” said Ghulam Mohammad Rohani, head of the Hajj and Religious Affairs in Farah.

Residents of Farah welcomed the prohibition.

“We are happy for the prohibition of the hunting of animals and birds,” said a Farah resident.

Meanwhile, a Qatari aid institution that breeds and raises wild animals and rare birds released them into the desert in Farah.

Officials of the institution said that the purpose of this work is to prevent the extinction of these animals and birds.

“This institution can prevent the extinction of these animals and return them to the desert,” said Fazal Ahmad, a veterinarian of the Algharrafa Foundation.

Residents of the province said they have been concerned for years about the hunting of animals and birds.
