Officials of DABS said that efforts are underway to begin work on CASA-1000 and TAP projects.

“The 500 KV project from Turkmenistan, has yet to be completed despite negotiations on it for the past several years,” said Safiullah Ahmadzai, operational manager of DABS.

“DABS has constructed a cable costing $3.5 million and it is 170km long from Kajaki to Kandahar, which carries 110 kilovolts,” said Hekmatullah Maiwandi, a spokesman for DABS.
